Ingredients:
4 slices bacon
1 small yellow onion chopped
1/2 medium green bell pepper chopped
2 28oz cans Bush's baked beans w/ tangy sauce &
brown sugar
1 10oz can mild RO*TEL, drained
3 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp spicy brown, mustard
1/4 cup ketchup (or you can used hickory smoked
barbeque sauce)
1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp.
Reserve 3 tbsp bacon grease.
Chop bacon and set aside.
Sauté onion and bell pepper in grease 5 minutes.
Drain in a large bowl mix together bacon, onion
mixture,
beans, RO*TEL, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce,
mustard, ketchup and hot sauce.
Stir together well.
Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish.
Pour beans in dish.
Bake covered for 1 hour; then bake 30 minutes
uncovered, stirring occasionally.
